    About Ethan Z.

Trombonist Ethan Zawisza has been a prolific performer and teacher since the nascence of his pursuit of a B.M. in Music Education and Trombone Performance from Ithaca College in Ithaca, NY. He studied with Dr. Harold Reynolds and Jeffrey Gray of the Rochester Philharmonic. Ethan graduated Cum Laude while participating in every ensemble imaginable at the school, from symphony orchestra to the jazz ensemble to the trombone choir. Ethan received his M.M. in Trombone Performance from Indiana University where he studied with M. Dee Stewart, Pete Ellefson, and Carl Lenthe. Ethan played the lead trombone chair in the premier Jazz Ensemble at the University, as well as the premier orchestra. Ethan has participated in the summer orchestral program known as the Brevard Music Center, studying with David Jackson, Dan Satterwhite, and James Nova. Since graduating, Ethan has joined Vermont's own 40th Army Band as a Trombonist and freelances as much as possible with various groups such as the Vermont Symphony Orchestra, the Vermont Philharmonic, and the Joe Levesque Big Band. He maintains a steady teaching and playing schedule to remain as versatile a musician as possible. In his free time he enjoys playing the guitar, piano, bass, and singing as much as he can.
