I've been teaching private music lessons since 2007. Many of my students have gone on to study music in college, and almost all have taken part in fulfilling music projects. I've been studying music my whole life. I have a Master of Music Degree in Jazz Arts from Manhattan School of Music (2013), and a Bachelor of Music Degree in Jazz Studies from William Paterson University (2010). But I know more than just jazz music, I'm comfortable playing and teaching essentially all styles of music. I play hundreds of gig every year on both electric bass and double bass, spanning a wide variety of musical styles. I'm also very well versed in music theory, ear training, reading, and composing. With my teaching methods, the music that speaks to you becomes our vehicle for learning. I tailor each lesson specifically to you, using your goals and current abilities as a guide. And if you aren't yet sure of specific goals, I have plenty of books, music, and experience to get things going first. I'm very much looking forward to teaching you!
