During a Summer intercession, the parents of a soon-to-be HS Senior hired me for SAT tutoring. He had stellar grades, shining recommendations, an elite prep school resumé... the real deal! Even so, despite SAT classes and rigorous studying, his exam scores were lackluster at best. I got to work and helped him to raise his composite score by **8 points** in a period of just 6 weeks of tutoring sessions. His previous scores were below the implied minimum for his first choice school. With my help, he brought the score up in time to use it for his application a few weeks later and ... he got in! He now attends that very school, a renowned Midwestern top-25 university.
The PSAT is the first step in the standardized exam cycle for high school students. It precedes the SAT and is used as an indicator for one's future SAT scores. What many don't know is that exemplary PSAT results mean automatic National Merit Scholarship nomination. I've had several students who were nominated for their high scores, 3 have won, including a female HS senior who won this award May 2017. The NMS award means winning scholarship money for college and adding a very noble accolade to one's college admissions packet; even if one does not win, the nomination itself is a great addition to college applications,
The SAT is a pivotal element of the college application process and the best way to ensure strong SAT scores is to start early and build a foundation with the PSAT. Preparing for the PSAT will ensure strong scores for this exam, setting an elevated benchmark, thus allowing a higher "ceiling" for one's SAT scores down the road.
As a high school student applying to universities, I scored in the 99th percentile on both the ACT and SAT exams, which undoubtedly aided in my acceptance to my first choice school, USC. (Fight on!)
I have nearly 10 years tutoring for college entrance exam (SAT, ACT) preparation. I have a vast amount of materials that aid in lessons and regularly review the exam, in order to stay current with any changes in the test format.

I carry an enthusiasm for knowledge and "nerdy" subjects like mathematics and science! I believe in the power of positive reinforcement and aim to foster not only knowledge, but also confidence. Lessons are individualized for the student and their goal grade/test score. I am passionate about education and the development of growing minds, and it shows in my sessions.
My assistance doesn't stop just because the lesson is over. I make myself available to students (via email) for as-needed homework and study-related questions.
I have nearly 10 years experience working as an educator.
I am honored to work with students throughout the year, for long-term results, but am also happy to assist with short-term needs such as midterm/final exam preparation.

Erin was very caring, articulate, thorough and responsive. She tested my daughter's knowledge by assigning her problems to do prior to their sessions. As a result, she was able to get 100% on all of her home/class work.
Erin is a great instructor and took the time to understand our requirements.
Great instructor!!! Looking forward to take more classes for my daughter. I will definitely recommend her to anyone.
We are very satisfied with Erin's services - our daughter improved her ACT score by 4 points with Erin's tutoring assistance! Erin knew how to use technology to make the online tutoring sessions as effective as though they were in person. Not only is she smart in the subject matter, she is also very personable. Erin is an excellent tutor.
We absolutely loved Erin. What a sweetheart! She was recommended to us by friends and we were so happy to have her work with our son, Joey. Erin helped him with his Calculus work and preparing for the ACT his senior year of high school. Joey's scores improved (ACT score went up 5 points) and there was a definite positive change in his self-confidence and attitude. Erin was dependable and went out of her way to be thorough in keeping my husband and I informed during the process. We've had quite a few tutors over the years, and sometimes it's hard to find a good one, so we were really glad we found Erin!+ Read More
