    About Erin W.

    4.7
    (17)
I carry an enthusiasm for knowledge and "nerdy" subjects like mathematics and science! I believe in the power of positive reinforcement and aim to foster not only knowledge, but also confidence. Lessons are individualized for the student and tailored to their goals. I am passionate about education and the development of growing minds, and it shows in my sessions. My assistance doesn't stop just because the lesson is over. I make myself available to students (via email) for as-needed homework and study-related questions. I have nearly 10 years experience working as an educator. I am honored to work with students throughout the year, for long-term results, but am also happy to assist with short-term needs such as midterm/final exam preparation. Also available for: College admissions consulting -- Let me help your family navigate this complex process. I can assist with choosing programs and schools, tailoring applications to each recipient school, and generally putting together the strongest possible application packet.

My daughter was struggling with her virtual Physics 1 AP class, which is being taught in one semester rather than over a whole school year. Erin has really helped her get her head around the concepts and taken a lot of the frustration out of the class for her. Erin tailored my daughter's tutoring sessions so that she's getting the most out of the sessions. I highly recommend Erin!

Not sure what happened, but Erin did not show up for the first PSAT tutoring session that we had scheduled for my daughter. I was unable to get in contact with her and was charged for the lesson. I ended up having to contact TakeLessons to get a reimbursement.
