I am an enthusiastic piano instructor with over eight years experience teaching beginning through intermediate students. I currently run a studio out of my home in Peachtree City, GA but am happy to travel to your location. I began teaching piano at an early age after graduating from a Piano Pedagogy course. I furthered my education by taking a college level music theory course where I gained invaluable knowledge related to the theoretical underpinnings of musical notation. I have related teaching experience in the arts and was a dance and music & movement instructor for six years. To support my professional teaching goals I have also taken courses in child development at the collegiate level. To stay up to date on current pedagogical methodologies, I maintain a membership to a local chapter of the Georgia Music Teachers Association. This also allows my students to take part in an annual judging festival called Federation if this aligns with their performance goals. I love crafting individual objectives and paths for piano education with all my students. Their goals become my goals and I strive to use all the pedagogical tools available to help them reach a rewarding level of experience with the piano. Practice is a large responsibility and undertaking by the student but I am here to coach you through proper ways to manage your time and give you exercises to help you see improvement in your playing each week.
