English (ESL) with Erika R.

Erika is a awesome Teacher. She helped me a lot to improve my English. It was easy to schedule lessons with her or to cancel. Moreover the content from the Lessons were very helpful and she also went to my wishes all the time. We worked especially on Presentations and Business related English. She always has tips to the topics that we had. Furthermore she was also always in a good mood and we had a great time together.

I've been taking English classes with Erika for almost 2 years. I grew up in China -- not only the language is very different from western languages, but also the mind set and culture. My goal was to not only improving my colloquial/business English, but also gain knowledge about the culture. Erika always adapts and tailors lessons to meet my needs. For example, at the beginning of each lesson, she lets me talk about the things I found interesting during the last week -- then she corrects the grammar mistakes I made when telling the story, and also teaches me how I can describe things more accurately/concisely; At the end of each session, she always provides me with feedback for the overall session, including all issues (e.g. grammar) she observed during that session -- I feel very impressive at how focused she is during the lesson. Erika is not only going through textbooks with me (the textbooks she chose for me also have really interesting topics!), she always teaches me about relevant culture behind the topics, which actually contributes a lot to language learning -- She has been living in several different cultures, and is very knowledgeable and open minded. Erika has helped me a lot in my English learning and also helped me grow my confidence in speaking English. I would highly recommend Erika as your English instructor.

Erika Rose is a great teacher with a diverse international background. This translates into a teacher who truly understands the student and can help them to improve the linguistic (and cultural) skills in the right way. It’s amazing to experience how flexible she is during the lesson and how to tailor the grammar, etc. to my specific needs. She has been a great help and support for me after my move to the US last year and I can highly recommend Erika as your next teacher.
