- Teaching since:
I enjoy teaching students of all ages, and believe that singing is a fundamentally reflexive activity; a teacher’s job is to reinforce and facilitate students’ natural inclination toward healthy and engaging singing.
I have worked with students in a variety of settings, and have experience in a number of vocal styles. The most rewarding aspect of being a teacher is witnessing the growth of my students. I am also grateful for the perspective that they can offer, and appreciate the discoveries that I make about my own singing through teaching.
I am an active, classically trained soprano with experience in a variety of vocal styles. I have been featured in recitals, scenes programs, musicals, operettas, and operas, performing roles ranging from Milky White to Susanna.
I have encountered firsthand the rewards of being under experienced tutelage, and believe I can use my knowledge and experience to help students down this fulfilling path.
Taught students ages 10-40+.
During my graduate studies at Ohio University, I was a graduate assistant responsible for a voice studio of undergraduate voice students, and two undergraduate voice classes for both music majors and non-music majors.
