Erich currently serves as an Associate Director of Bands and Percussion Director at Bentonville West High School. An avid performer, judge, and educator, he received his Master of Music degree with emphasis in percussion performance from the University of Missouri-Columbia and his Bachelor of Music Education and Bachelor of Music Performance from Southwestern Oklahoma State University (SWOSU).
Erich has been teaching in public schools since 2012. At Bentonville West, his duties include directing the Symphonic Band, serving as the school’s percussion coordinator working with all percussion students including the Wolverine Marching Band drumline and front ensemble. While at the University of Missouri, Erich served as a University Band Graduate Assistant in Percussion from 2011-2013. During that role, He was the conductor of the 2012 Mini Mizzou Volleyball band as well as the composer and instructor for the Marching Mizzou Drumline. He was also given time to rehearse and conduct the MU University Band with Dr. Christopher Baumgartner.
As a percussionist, Erich has performed as the Principle percussionist with the University of Missouri Symphonic Wind Ensemble, and has been a member of the University of Missouri Symphony Orchestra, Percussion Ensemble, World Percussion Ensemble, and Steel Band. While at SWOSU, he performed as the Principle percussionist of the Wind Ensemble, Percussion Ensemble, Orchestra, Jazz Ensemble “A” and was the captain of the SWOSU Marching Band Drumline from 2009-2011. Erich was a member of the 2009 Madison Scouts Drum and Bugle Corps and is a regular member of the Missouri Symphony Orchestra.

Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia Fraternity of America (also known as Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia, Phi Mu Alpha, or simply Sinfonia) is an American collegiate social fraternity for men with a special interest in music. The fraternity is open to men &amp;quot;who, through a love for music, can assist in the fulfillment of [its] Object and ideals either by adopting music as a profession, or by working to advance the cause of music in America.&amp;quot;
We offer students and professionals opportunities to grow artistically and professionally. Students can learn have a music industry experience through the PAS Internship program or apply to receive a PAS scholarship or grant. Professionals can create new percussion programs or gain recognition through PAS grants and contests. Many individuals have significantly impacted the world of percussion through the Percussive Arts Society and they are recognized in our Hall of Fame and Awards pages.
