I am a Senior Tenor Trombone Performance Major at Indiana University Jacobs School of Music. I also play bass trombone, alto trombone, euphonium, and bass trumpet extensively. While at IU, I have performed as Principal Trombone in multiple orchestras and wind ensembles, including operatic productions and Tchaikovsky's Nutcracker. I have also performed with award winning chamber groups and jazz bands. These ensemble experiences have broadened my abilities and knowledge of the trombone, and I hope I can teach some of these things to you. In the past, I have taught many levels of trombonists, including beginners and high school players that have gone on to major in trombone performance at high level music schools, like the Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music. Whatever age and background you come from, I believe anyone can become a successful musician. I have also studied improvisation from incredible jazz musicians, so I can cater to any interests that you have as a player, whether it's classical, jazz, movie soundtracks, hip-hop, commercial, or any other genres of music. My goal as a teacher is to introduce you to a wide variety of playing styles and help you hone in your technique so you can enjoy making any type of music. I am happy to drive out to your house or find a location to meet for lessons. I look forward to meeting you and teaching you the art of trombone playing!
