I am a recent graduate of University of Maryland, where I received my Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance, in addition to my two B.A.s in French and Government and Politics. I have been playing piano for 17 years, accompanying for 6 years and teaching for 3 years. I am also able to help with basic to intermediate levels of music theory.
Additionally, I am able to tutor all levels of elementary, middle and high school, as well as undergraduate college level French. I have studied French for 12 years, and have gained experience in the language through living in Montreal, studying abroad in France, and living in a French immersion program for 3 years. I am currently a French teacher at Fluent City, where I teach Beginner French to adult students.
If you need to cancel or reschedule a lesson, make sure you do so 24 hours or more prior to the lesson start time. Makeup lessons will not be scheduled for lessons that have been cancelled less than 24 hours in advance, and will be marked as "missed." This means that the credit for that lesson will be used for the missed lesson. I highly recommend students and parents to check ahead in their calendars and notify me about any changes in scheduling as soon as they are aware of them. Please contact me for further questions.
Very good job of planning out next steps and practice material for student.
Erica is an excellent pianist and teacher and will be sure to listen to your needs while tailoring a lesson suited to your goals. She is extremely personable and dedicated to her craft. She works well with all age groups, from children to adults.
Erica is a great teacher. She is very patient and willing to work through my technique issues. I am able to choose some of the pieces I work on, while also working on some pieces she assigns me.
