Hi All! My name is Erica Jensen. I've studied the Visual Arts from third grade to college- about 14 years of experience-. I have been asked quite frequently to teach and share my knowledge with the masses; through either youtube or for personal classes, and I only recently have taken that advice and decided to share what I know. Only up until recently, did I think that what I had to offer wasn't anything anyone else couldn't get from somone else; UNTIL- I decided to help out a very close friend of mine with a college project and what she told me really struck home. She said, " You made me feel like I can do anything, no matter the end product. Even though you encouraged me to keep practicing to ensure my result would progress; what I took away from you helping me, moreso than anything, was the ability to make me feel like nothing matters besides how I FEEL. Which created a farr better product than I ever thought it would be.." That just reassured me that my philosphy on Drawing and Painting may be similar to others but still is MY OWN. And I should've thought of it that way from the beginning because, I believe whole heartedly that everyone's expression is unique no matter what! What's yours is yours, and what's mine is mine. And I would encourage you to OWN IT at every moment because that's the truth behind ALL ARTIST- We decided to OWN IT and let our expressions blossom to unimaginable heights.
