    About Eric S.

Hello, my name is Eric. I live in the Tri-Cities (East) Tennessee. I’ve been very active in music since a very early age and also in middle school and high school band, which helped me to read music (mostly bass clef, but I also know treble). I have been both playing bass and in bands since I was twelve years old. This is my musical timeline: -My first band was called Havyn. We made our first album in 1999 when we were all fifteen. In 2000, we entered a Battle of the Bands hosted by radio station WRZK and local organization Fun Fest. We made it to the final round then got beat by a band composed of my bass teacher and our guitar players guitar teacher. Both were local celebrities. We were only 16 at the time so it was still a great experience and the show had an audience of about 3,500. We also made a follow up album called ‘Backwards’ that came out in 2002 produced by Charlie Scalf at the Digital Dump in Johnson City, TN. From 1999-2001 I played for Dobyns-Bennett “Impact” and “Pizzazzy Ladies” (the former is a male and female show choir and latter is a female only show choir only) -From 2000-2002 I played electric bass for the Dobyns Bennett jazz Band. -In 2001, I played bass guitar for Dobyns Bennett Marching band (switching from Euphonium) to play bass in the pit for their “1812 Overature” show. -Right after graduating I played with a band called Autumn Waiting for about a year until I moved to college. -After moving to Murfreesboro, I joined a metal band in 2006 called Before Dishonor who recorded some tracks together by Marc Primeau at the MTSU Recording studios. -After graduating college and coming back to East TN, I joined a band called Jiraiya in 2009 who recorded an album in Nashville at the Toy Box studios. Unfortunately, in late 2014 I broke my left scaphoid (wrist), and hyper extended my neck... then later that year had to recover from radial nerve palsy in my left arm (wrist drop). After gaining the strength back in my hands, in late 2016 I had an accident which snapped my left femur into three parts! With no medical insurance this can be quite a serious issue. Regardless, I’ve had a lot of time to recover and I’m finally up to par (musically) and playing as well as ever. All this downtime for healing, and doctors notes to be out of work has me extremely motivated to be productive. Hire me and you won’t regret it!
