I've been playing guitar a few years now, giving lessons, playing some small gigs and recording with people for a while. Most of it began as a hobby when I was young but quickly got addicted. Had been classically trained via violin ages 8-15 but switched to guitar and was self taught with the concepts of music theory solidifying my grasp on the instrument. I am currently a second year international finance major at UTSA. Ill be able to provide the tools students need today to succeed in class, with strong foundations in math, and a wide array of knowledge via college experience and nearly perfect scores in every math class I've taken. I do more than just run through problems, and hope to really give students a through grasp about what they are learning and how it applies to concepts they have already covered. Lessons will be dynamic to the needs of the student and will be built upon the "tough" areas of the student or things I notice through working the material together. The lessons should be expected to remove any doubts the student has about a particular difficulty and uncover the best way to reveal the solutions in a way specific to the learner (e.g. not just reading solution pages). I'm always looking to change things up so don't expect all lessons to be similar and will be experimenting with what works best for the individual. Creativity is key! *** Lesson Details *** Will vary depending on the skill level of the student and rate in they progress. Lessons will start by assessing their skill level or previous knowledge from a prior lesson and will grow upon that for the duration of the lesson.
