Fun Private Horn Lessons from a Professional!

I am a dedicated teacher whom loves to help students develop their musical skills in both technique and expression. I have experience with many methods for horn, and will work to find the music which will be the most helpful for the student's improvement. Beginning student's lessons will be focused on the development of strong fundamentals meant to build towards efficient playing and a beautiful concept of sound. Beginning students will also learn the fundamentals of musical expression, and how good fundamentals allows for the growth of musicianship. Intermediate lessons will focus on expanding the student's range and technical abilities, while also developing the student's ability to make meaningful musical decisions. Advanced students will focus on solidifying the skills needed to allow them to play any of the staple works for the horn's repertoire. High School aged students will work towards developing repertoire that would be played for scholarship auditions and auditions to be music students at the collegiate level. I can also help with extended techniques for horn (flutter tonguing, stopped horn, and half-valve are examples.)
