I was born and raised in the Loire Valley of France (the "Valley of the Kings"), where the purest form of French is spoken. I have a passion for the French language as well as for teaching. To keep lessons interesting and fun, I always connect real-life situations to what you are learning, so the information sticks and is easily recalled. Throughout my teaching career I have taught more than 500 students in France, the UK, and the USA. I have lived in Florida for the past 10 years. I am an avid writer, enjoying the metaphorical nature of French, and I have an extensive background in French literature. Contrary to what you may have been told by other teachers, the accent learned in Paris is harsh and jarring to most people, much like the New York City accent sounds crude to most Americans. But, having also lived in Paris for 22 years, I can teach that accent, too, if that is what you prefer. In my numerous years of teaching French I have brought many students to complete fluency using the unique, proprietary teaching method I developed. All along your learning process I will give you key points to focus on that, when implemented, I guarantee will bring you to fluency. I teach a full range of students: from complete beginners, to people preparing for travel, to American high school French teachers wanting to enhance their understanding of the language, to university professors needing assistance in book translations.
