Developed an extracurricular jazz program from scratch. A high school jazz band that became a class, two high school combos, a middle school jazz band, and a middle school combo. Advanced HS combo regularly gigged in the community and the HS jazz band did a concert tour of Chicago in 2016

University of Indianapolis

Taught non-major saxophone students. Helped them prepare for upcoming recitals, concerts, and moved their skills forward to pass juries

Uindy Community Music Center

Taught private saxophone lessons to a wide variety of students. Got experience with beginners, non-traditional students, etc. instructed basic, intermediate, and advanced levels of understanding.

Rush County Schools

Planned, rehearsed, and organized concerts and performances for high school and middle school concert bands, a marching band, two pep bands. Reorganized and data-based the school's extensive music library, while expanding it. started a middle school pep band, wrote the entire book of music for it.

The Indiana Music Education Association (IMEA) is a not-for-profit professional membership organization serving music teachers of all primary, secondary and tertiary levels. Our membership is currently comprised of about 1100 active teachers, 100 retired members, and 700 collegiate members who are music education majors. As the federated state unit of NAfME, IMEA’s purpose is to support and advance music education in the state of Indiana; we do this by representing the united interests of music educators and students and by providing professional leadership and service in music education to enhance arts education in schools.

JEN was formed in 2008 to help bring together the jazz arts community. It hosts an annual conference with concerts presented by students and professionals, a student jazz festival, workshops, research presentations and an exhibition area with manufacturers, retailers, schools and other jazz related organizations. JEN also offers many educational programs, from an outreach program, to mentoring and scholarships.

Kappa Delta Pi (KDP), International Honor Society in Education, was founded in 1911 to foster excellence in education and promote fellowship among those dedicated to teaching. For over a century, the Society has consistently grown, starting with a local chapter to become the international organization it is today, with an initiated membership that exceeds 1.2 million! Using a variety of programs, services, and resources, KDP supports and advances educators throughout the phases and levels of their teaching careers.
