In reading, we go over methods for engaging with the material quickly and efficiently. When writing, I can help you develop a script, I can help edit your work, and/or give you feedback that will anticipate and improve how readers respond to your writing. I have been described by some as a reading and writing coach, because of my positive attitude and ability to help students get through challenging assignments calmly and positively. My background has heavily focused on mastery of the English language. I have experience teaching writing and rhetoric. Writing is my passion, both personally and as an educator. Many students who come to me for test prep end up seeking help with college admission essays. For the last three years, I have worked primarily as a private tutor specializing in ACT, SAT, GRE, English, college admission essays, and other forms of writing. It pleases me greatly to watch students grow in confidence and knowledge as we discuss test strategies and strengthen their content knowledge. My writing tutoring is my biggest strength and passion.
