Dance with Emma S.

My name is Emma Speers. I am a dancer, choreographer, and a human who loves art. I began dancing at the age of 5 and have been able to fully experience life because of the place it has in my life. I. attended both Interlochen Center for the Arts in the summer of 2014 and Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp in 2015 and 2016 and gained valuable experience from their dance programs. I have been a company member of H2 Dance Company, Hope College's Pre Professional Repertory Company, the past two seasons. From experiencing resilience in the dance studio to finding an amazing connection with my fellow dancers and the characters I have been fortunate enough to embody on stage, I hope to pass along a love of artistry in my teaching. I also love the joy, laughter, and fun dance has brought to my life. The pure joy of moving to express, learn, or simply just to move is what keeps bringing me back to the dance studio, stage, and basement improv sessions.
