    About Emma P.

Hello, I am a theatre and voice teacher. I graduated from Bennington College which was ranked #1 in BA drama programs by Princeton Review through my years of study. As a voice teacher, I focus on singing with control and connecting your voice to your body. I specialize in contemporary, singer-songwriter and musical theatre training. As a theatre teacher, I work with actors to feel confident and prepared when auditioning, building a character, doing scene work and working on their speaking voice. I also offer classes to directors in directing 101, directing readings and new play development. One thing that is unique is that I will give you pamphlets to remember the most important parts of the lesson. I've taught K-12 after school theater programs including audition prep and I've also taught extended workshops for professional actors and college students who have gone on to great schools like Yale, Penn University, University of Michigan, Ithaca College, Bennington College and Sarah Lawrence College. I have worked with internationally acclaimed directors like Robert Wilson, Ann Bogart, Liz Lerman, and Kristin Hanggi. I've worked with some incredible theater companies like Beth Morrison Projects, Siti Company, The Watermill Center, The Hangar Theater, HERE Arts Center, The Hangar Theater, The Eugene O’Neill and The National Theater Institute. I've trained in a wide variety of styles including many physical forms of theater, dance, puppetry, masks, Alexander, Meisner, Suzuki, and Viewpoints.
