Opera Voice with Emma C.

Hi! My name is Emma and I would love to teach you singing lessons! A bit about me: I graduated from Nazareth College of Rochester with a Bachelor of Arts in Music and performed with opera companies, young artist programs, and choirs upon graduation. I currently sing with the Oratorio Society of New York. I was a long-term music substitute teacher for 6th grade general music. I taught solfege, scales, key and time signatures, styles, and rhythm. I continue to take lessons myself so that I am constantly learning my craft and can pass more knowledge onto you! A bit about my teaching: I prefer to teach young beginners, but will certainly teach students at the intermediate level. I promote a positive learning environment that is enjoyable, judgment-free, and productive. I customize each lesson so that it best suits the goals, personality, and abilities of every student. My passion lies in opera, classical music, and pre-1960s Broadway, but i firmly believe that having good technique is beneficial and essential in any style of singing.
