Hi, I'm Emily. I've been teaching awesome students like you since 2008. I love to help students of all skill levels develop their style, musicianship, and creativity. Whether you're a seasoned picker just brushing up, or you're a total beginner, let's get you started on your musical journey.
Since 2002, I've played music professionally as a solo artist, band member, composer, session musician, and hired touring musician in many genres including rock, blues, country, r&b, folk, and metal. While obtaining my Bachelor's Degree and my Associate's Degree, I studied jazz and classical music. It is my pleasure to bring what I've learned from these experiences to my students.

My 10 year old son has been taught by Emily for over 4 years. She’s great at teaching at a level my son would be able to understand, yet challenging enough for him to step outside of his comfort zone to play classical, rock, blues and every other genre you can think of. I’m excited to see what they son’s musical future holds, as his skill level is steadily progressing! She’s a sweet teacher who genuinely cares about her students! I would recommend her as a teacher to guitar players of all ages and any skill level.+ Read More
My son Aidan, who is 12 has been taking lessons with Emily for a few months now and he really enjoys her instruction. She is supportive, encouraging, a good listener. What I like the best about her is that she cares about the foundational skills and technique of playing which is so important. Then she also really cares about what the student is interested in learning. One week my son showed her a part of a song he was trying to learn and at the next week lesson she had the music for the song and they were working on it. I can tell she is very passionate about guitar and loves working with children. We are very happy!+ Read More
