Emily Shankman has been teaching private lessons since 2005 and is currently available to teach lessons at her studio in Andersonville and online. Emily has helped students learn violin technique and musicality, achieve healthy vocal production and style, learn anatomy, posture and breathing technique, prepare and polish monologues and songs for a variety of different auditions, including college and professional level.
Emily received her training at The Boston Conservatory at Berklee in 2013 where she received her MFA in Musical Theater. She also holds her B.M. in Vocal Performance from Lawrence University. As an expert in her field, Emily looks forward to helping new students achieve their goals. Emily's teaching style is energetic, warmly supportive, and most importantly, fun! She is passionate about helping others express themselves and take risks to push their artistic accomplishments to the next level! She looks forward to meeting you!
