Whether your student hopes to be the next Louis Pasteur or is just trying to fulfill a high school science requirement, I would be honored to help guide them through the process. I help students hone the math skills needed to be successful in a chemistry class as well as encourage them to observe how this fascinating science applies in every day life.

I hold a B.A. in Communications from Thomas Edison State University. I have been tutoring elementary through high school students for two years. I aim to not only help my students gain proficiency in their subjects but also to share my love of learning with them and to teach them skills that will help them throughout the remainder of their education. During my senior year, I conducted a research project that examined how personality type influences communication style; I strive to use this knowledge to understand the unique needs and learning styles of each student I work with. I also have a background in amateur theatre, having acted in and directed several productions. In my spare time, I enjoy writing, reading on a wide variety of topics, and hiking.Show More

Emily has taught my daughters for over 2 years now. In that time they have grown tremendously and I'm so thankful for Emily's work with them. Emily is excellent at building relationships with kids. My girls feel seen by her and this has helped them be willing to work with her. I'll be the first to admit my girls aren't always the easiest, but Emily never blinks. She handles everything with a smile and is able to get them back on track.
Emily is a delightful role model and I'm also thankful that my girls have gotten to see her enthusiasm for learning and life.
