Private vocal coaching sessions with Emily are for everyone who wants to explore the depth of their true voice.

In singing, the body is our instrument; when the body is in alignment with the thoughts and emotions, the voice can vibrate its clearest tones and truest sound. Emily guides a full exploration through the somatics of body posture and movement as it relates to emotional and mental blockages, thereby uncovering the very real possibility of singing with your truest voice.
When we ask to know our true voice we are asking to know our voice not only in a conceptualized intellectual way, but in a fully experienced, known and embodied way

Emily teaches from a lifetime of experience. Over 25 years of classical vocal training, music theory, and basic piano, which aids and speeds the learning process in vocal training.

About Emily P.

Emily came into the world with a song in her heart. She spent most of her formative years in classic vocal techniques training and performance, studying with university professors of Vocal Music.

With over 25 years of experience in vocal performance and technique, her life is dedicated to the intricately related studies of sound, music, art, yoga and bodywork. Iyengar Yoga found her at 16, and she has devoted nearly 20 years of her life to daily practice and study of yogic arts. And, she is a 6-year licensed massage therapist in the State of Florida, specializing in holistic and integrative Eastern Modalities such as Hawaiian LomiLomi and Thaiatsu.

The question often is: How do these studies intersect? Since the instrument of the voice is the body, a large part of learning to sing happens within the exploration of body movements, held emotions in the body, and habitual thought patterns. This is called psychosomatics, or somatics, which basically means the study of the body-mind interconnection. To unlock the truest and fullest version of our voices, we must go through the body-mind and unlock its most fluid method of functioning, moving and supporting the voice.

I’ve had the chance to experience Emily’s coaching in two settings one on one and group voice lessons. Both have left me feeling open and connected to my voice and it’s potential.

Emily’s intuitive nature allows her to tailor the voice lessons to your needs. She uses her background in meditation, yoga, and breath work combined with classic training in voice to curate a transformative experience.

If you are looking for a holistic approach to voice lessons don’t hesitate to reach out to her!

I reached out to Emily for some practice with the very basics of singing. I had never had any practice with fundamentals and form before and she helped me get on the right track. Emily is very tuned in to herself and her clients during a lesson and can help you find ways in which your body is keeping you from reaching your full potential. The internet connection was lost once and we reconnected but there was no problems with lagging or anything of that nature.

Sat Sukh is an angel. Her voice lesson was purely ethereal; included bodywork and movement. It was very healing! I loved and appreciated her grace and deep knowledge. I opened my throat chakra and found my voice again! Thank you for your kindness.

Emily is by far the best vocalist teacher I've come across. She was really patient when it came to finding my voice, first teacher to ever care about finding my true voice. That was my first class, my second class was incredible because she understands where I am at as a singer and taught me to really listen. I love how she leaves homework for me, her homework is no homework in my opinion , it's a lot of fun actually. I cant wait for our next session because I've grown so much since our last session and I know she has yet a lot to teach me, super stoked for our next lesson!
