I offer practical experience in playing and performing guitar at the beginner level. Together we'll explore common chord patterns and structures, how to read chord charts as well as play by ear. I'll demonstrate several strumming patterns, including finger picking, as well as offer pointers for coming up with your own for different styles of songs. My goal by the end of our lessons together is to have you feeling comfortable not only playing basic songs but learning and performing new songs on your own.

Hi there! My goal is to share my passion for music along with the technical skills that make it possible. I've been playing and performing the piano for about twenty years, and guitar eight years. I've given private lessons on a case-by-case basis. Regardless of what level you are currently at, I enjoy teaching people who are genuinely interested in learning. My job is to enable you to express yourself.

I have worked with Emily in the past and have found her to be an excellent musician and also very prompt and professional. We did a small coffee shop concert together a while back and not only was she always on time and prepared for rehearsals, but she was very gracious and helpful in offering advice to the  others performers (mostly me :P)
