Whether just starting out, or putting the finishing touches on your songs, I can guide you to your best possible outcome. Some students come to me having never written a song before, and some come wishing to add something new to their already established project. I can help you put music to your lyrics, lyrics to your music, or fill in the gaps. Meanwhile, I will walk you through every step of the process so you won't need me forever! I can help with the basics of song structure, chords progressions, rhyme schemes, accompaniment and more!

Emily has been working professionally for over 20 years. In addition to performing in musical theater throughout New York and California, she has worked as a recording artist with Universal records and Sony, and for artists including Katy Perry and Billy Joel. Emily has been featured in live performances on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, and The Rachel Ray Show. Emily studied vocal performance at The Musician's Institute in Hollywood. Former students have gone on to perform on Broadway, national tours and American Idol.

Emily is an outstanding instructor. She explains everything thoroughly and really listens. I couldn’t have asked for a better teacher - I walked out feeling more prepared and eager for the journey as her student. You can tell she loves teaching and her energy is contagious. Emily is very nice and easy to talk to. I am usually very uncomfortable singing in front of a person but she made it easy. I was still nervous but definitely sang like I usually do when I'm alone or at karaoke. Starts off with the basics and gives you a good understanding of how singing works.
