Salsa Dancing with Emily B.

I am Emily Grace Bishop. I have 5 years of teaching and choreography experience, and nearly 15 years of training and performance experience. My goal is to increase your autonomy as a dancer and leap over mental barriers. Finding yourself in the music and connecting to the vibrancy of life is a beautiful thing! We will focus on your goals as well as establishing a firm foundation in music and body movement. I make sure I give instruction that is unique to each dancer in order for them to progress faster and stronger. My specialities lie in performance, body movement, and social dancing arts. Here are the details of what I do: LATIN: I am the current director of Evolución Latina in Destin, a Chicago based Latin Dance team training under a world class syllabus. I teach body movement and partner-work. Salsa, bachata, and cha-cha. I have travelled and trained under multiple professionals and world champions. When my students feel willing, I love connecting them to our Latin dance community! BALLET/CONTEMP/MODERN/ PERFORMANCE: I began dancing ballet, contemporary, and jazz when I was three years old. I have enjoyed choreographing for multiple theatrical productions and dance team performances. In all my performance choreography, I place emphasis on aesthetics, message, and impact. I have traveled on a team and may place emphasis on competition technique.
