I've been a performing musician for most of my life as I grew up singing in large-scale choirs, musical theater productions and bands. I'm a classically trained vocalist in opera as well contemporary techniques. I've been providing piano accompaniment for over 20 years and I teach primarily beginner to intermediate students. I also teach acoustic guitar as I've ben playing for over 20 years. It's my primary songwriting instrument along with electric guitar so I often can relate to my students who have similar tendencies. I've been teaching music, coaching performers and producing student showcases across the US for the past 10 years.

In my lessons, we work around a student's specific goals favorite songs/ genres in order to determine our path. I teach basic chord knowledge, tab-reading, strumming and both finger-picking style acoustic guitar. I prepare my students for both music enjoyment as well as performance if that's their intended goal.

Hi! I'm Em, I'm a lead singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist based in North America. I teach voice, guitar, piano and singer songwriter studies. I offer uniquely tailored curriculums, focussed coaching and clear strategies for helping my students both identify and meet their goals. I also co-write songs with many of my students who need early guidance melodically or lyrically. Many of my students are currently lead singers of bands, solo career singer-songwriters and broadway performers. I provide teaching and coaching at every level from beginner to advanced.

Emily has been incredible with our kids! Her style of teaching makes them feel capable, empowered and is fostering a live of music and creativity! She understands how kids work to keep them engaged - even via zoom!! They both (ages 6 and 9) look forward to their music lessons and their music theory knowledge and skills are growing more than they ever did with lessons with other instructors in person.
