I recently moved to the Peninsula from Texas, where I taught piano for the Texas Christian University Music Preparatory Division for five years. I earned my Masters of Music in Piano Pedagogy degree from TCU in 2014, and before that my Bachelors of Music in Piano Pedagogy degree from the University of Oklahoma. I have lots of experience teaching students of all ages and ability levels. My main goals are for my students to learn to read music, understand basic music theory concepts so they can apply them through improvisation and composition, use effective practice strategies to learn any piece they want to learn, and to always enjoy the process of learning to play piano. I also really enjoy tailoring curriculum to each individual students learning style and interests. I know that students who play music they enjoy will practice more and I'm very willing to accommodate special learning requests.
