Hello I'm Chris! I am a Software Developer specialized in website and application development. I have been tutoring computer programming for 3 years now from beginner to advanced level. I live in the New York City area but I tutor mostly online to students all over the country. I worked as a Lead Developer for 5+ years and currently work full time as the head of development for a tech company in New Jersey. I hold a master's degree in Information Systems with a focus on data analytics. Learning about programming, development in school and knowing how hard it can be, I came to a realization that what we learn is most of the time not what is used regularly on the job. Therefore I try to teach and give my students the necessary skills they will need in order to succeed in their careers and personal endeavors. My lessons are for everyone: children, teenagers and adults with all levels. The method I use is based on active learning with interaction in order to make my students practice what they learn directly on their computers. As a tutor but also as a professional, I want to benefit the students I work with as much as possible to achieve that I make sure that my lessons are always tailored to the students and as personal as possible. I am also open to suggestions because the most important thing for me is that the students enjoys our lessons. As a Software Developer I am very competent with basic computer programming. I have a very good knowledge of HTML, Javascript, CSS, Angular, React and other front-end languages. I also teach about content management systems such as Wordpress. Having worked at an IT help desk, I also have very good knowledge of computers in general such as Macbook and Windows based computers.
