Ellie is knowledgeable, patient and talented. Her prices were quite fair. I embarked on a rather ambitious project for a first timer and Ellie took me from scared novice to a confident beginner / intermediate. I appreciated her attentive focus on my learning process. She never made me feel inadequate or embarrassed by my mistakes, but rather guided me through with kindness and understanding. I highly recommend Ellie for any level of sewing instruction. She was always accessible to me outside of the class, and I know I will be seeking her advice on many projects to come.

Ellie is a fun person to learn from because her experience gives her an ease and competence while her positive laid back attitude doesn't demand perfection. I have learned so much in our sewing classes and projects, but above all my confidence is boosted with each new project we do. She is thorough and goes through every step with detail and patience. I've wanted to learn to sew for years, and I lucked out to find such a great teacher and school.

Working with Ellie has literally changed my life. I had been looking for a creative outlet for years with no luck. I had a lot of false starts with projects and often times felt disempowered trying to pick up new creative hobbies. When I met Ellie, I was immediately inspired by her energy and work ethic. I took some sewing lessons from her and within a month I purchased a sewing machine. Now I work from home, consulting with Ellie about projects and ideas. I have even begun to read patterns! Thank you thank you thank you
