Teaching since:

I love teaching any age at any level! I believe violin lessons should be fun and encouraging and therefore strive to make every lesson a memorable one. I adjust my teaching to accommodate different learning styles and work at a pace where the student can be successful.

I earned a BM in Violin Performance from The University of Tulsa and am currently a master's candidate at the University of New Mexico in Violin Pedagogy. I am a certified Suzuki teacher and am registered through the Suzuki Association of the Americas. I also have experience teaching at the collegiate level.

I have coached chamber music for multiple years at the University of Tulsa Summer Chamber Music Camp, am a three time winner of the Chamber Music Tulsa Robert Heckmann Chamber award and have lots of experience playing in chamber ensembles. I was also a first violin section violinist in the Signature Symphony of Tulsa and a substitute for the Southwest Symphony of Arkansas.

Lessons for children are filled with games, singing and lots of laughter. I believe learning to play the violin in an enjoyable way helps children to develop many life skills including fine motor skills, self confidence, attention to detail, responsibility and lots more!

Lessons for older beginners focus on building a technique free of tension and discomfort. A solid foundation from the very beginning creates a world of opportunities as the student advances.

Lessons for advanced students focus on creating a beautiful tone, expanding musicality, bow technique and much more! I offer help with collegiate, festival or youth symphony auditions and can also teach the standard orchestral excerpt repertoire for anyone interested in auditioning for a professional orchestra.

I look forward to working with you and helping you become the best violinist you can be!
