I am a professional singer with experience across musical genres, but specializing in classical and musical theatre work. I work with voice students 8 and older, and love teaching students at any experience level. I am a classically trained lyric soprano, but believe great technique can apply to any and every style. Students will develop their skills in breath control, vocal range, pitch accuracy and more as we work together. Students will have fun will becoming better musicians and achieving their musical goals. In my professional career, I have performed major roles such as Anne Egerman (A Little Night Music), Dorothy in multiple productions of The Wizard of Oz, Lucy (You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown), and Nancy (Oliver!). I also performed in Tosca as the cover for the Shepherd Boy with the New York Grand Opera. As a classically trained singer, I have performed as soloist for numerous masses, including: Requiem in F minor (Bieber), Requiem (Fauré), Missa Brevis (Haydn), and Mass in G (Schubert). Throughout my collegiate career, I was a member of the nationally known LSU A Cappella Choir under the direction of Dr. Kenneth Fulton. I performed as a soloist with the choir and toured throughout the southeastern United States and Europe. I received my Bachelor's Degree of Music in Vocal Performance from Louisiana State University and have been teaching voice lessons for 5 years.

I have known Ellen for over 10 years. Upon her graduation at LSU in Vocal Performance, she joined my studio to continue her studies in this discipline. Since she first started, Ellen has not only grown into an amazing singer and performer with a beautiful voice, but a talented voice teacher herself. Having overcome poor technique provided to her before her time at LSU, she has special insight into what it takes to do so from a physical and mental perspective with a healthy technique that will allow longevity to the voice while producing its most beautiful quality. I recommend Ellen without reservation and encourage any interested individuals to pursue lessons with this gifted, kind and insightful voice teacher.

Ellen is a great vocal teacher. My daughter really connected with her from the first meeting. They worked together on songs and Grace really improved and looked forward to her lessons. Ellen’s experience in musical theater helped Grace with auditions and Learning to be expressive while singing. We love Ellen!!

Ellen is an incredible instructor! She has helped me audition for musicals, solos, and college music programs. She helps choose pieces to meet necessary criteria and is always eager to provide a little extra help when important dates are coming up. She’s also very supportive when big things are happening-she’s awesome! I would absolutely recommend taking lessons from her to anyone interested in studying music or just taking singing lessons in general.
