I have 10+ years of teaching experience, including working with special needs, blind, and vision-impaired students. I'm the owner, director, and headteacher at Rising Stars Music School. I strive to make music study fun and entertaining for all of my students. It is my goal to give each and every student the opportunity and ability to become the best musician they can be. I use a variety of teaching techniques and learning aids to achieve that goal. I tailor lessons to the individual students and their needs and goals in order to help them get the most out of their musical education.

I began my musical studies when I was a small girl, around age 8. My mother was a piano teacher, and she stressed a need to learn and understand music theory to become a better musician. Though it was a bit tedious to learn at first, I’m grateful that I followed through with my studies of music theory. Being able to understand the inner workings of music and being able to read music has enabled me to learn multiple instruments and then move on to being able to teach those instruments to others.

As a young girl and teenager, I learned to play piano, guitar, drums, recorder, and harmonica. I am currently studying the violin and bass guitar with hopes that I will reach a level of mastery with them within the next year to be able to incorporate them with the other instruments I teach. Music has always been an important part of my life. It is an excellent outlet for feelings and emotions that are sometimes hard to express. A life without music would be no life at all for me.
