Elizabeth's is an exceptional teacher and I am so glad I found her!
Keeps the lesson fun, and is great with kids!
Elizabeth is the best out there. She started teaching my nine year old about a year and a half ago. She is encouraging, fun, energetic, and incredibly talented and patient. Our daughter has learned so much and developed a new love of her Violin that with previous teachers was missing. We have never had a teacher our whole family loves seeing every week as much as her. Our daughter has improved so much and it is all thanks to the encouragement and skill that Elizabeth gives each lesson. She is one of a kind and an incredible teacher. We cannot recommend or thank her enough.+ Read More
My main instrument is piano/violin, and I have taken a year of violin lessons during my composition studies in Austria. I wanted to focus on my string instrument writing and also develop my violin playing skills (at the age of 33!).
Dr. Elizabeth proved herself to be a great teacher, who didn't only make my lessons fun (believe me, it's not that easy when you are at a certain age), but also made made things very interesting to me by relating the techniques I learned to string instrument writing (which is an amazing experience for a composer!).
Sometimes when I arrived early for my lessons, I observed Dr. Elizabeth with children and talked to some of the students' parents. They all speak highly of her and are very happy with their children's musical development.
I am (also) a music teacher at UC Berkeley, and have seen all kinds of teachers throughout my career and I can confidently say that you can't go wrong with Dr. Elizabeth. I still continue my weekly lessons and am amazed how much I've developed as a violinist since we started working together.
Thank you Dr. Elizabeth, see you next week!
