Our son has been learning the piano for the past year and we just recently switched to Dr. Elizabeth and we couldn't be happier. She is very clear in her instructions and makes the lesson energetic and fun. She has a wonderful rapport with our son.

Elizabeth always greets us with a big smile and is full of laughs and jokes, which makes learning a difficult instrument a lot more enjoyable for my son. She's is very knowledgeable and eagerly explains technique and does not shy away from giving feedback and guidance, which has helped him improve a lot. I was so worried that he wouldn't like learning the violin or that he'd have a lot of difficulty, but neither of those have been the case. My husband and I have recommended Elizabeth to several of our friends and we are happy to provide her an online referral as well. Thank you Elizabeth for teaching our son the violin! - Elise & John

My main instrument is piano, however I have taken a year of violin lessons during my composition studies in Austria. I wanted to focus on my string instrument writing and also develop my violin playing skills (at the age of 33!).

Dr. Elizabeth proved herself to be a great teacher, who didn't only make my lessons fun (believe me, it's not that easy when you are at a certain age), but also made made things very interesting to me by relating the techniques I learned to string instrument writing (which is an amazing experience for a composer!).

Sometimes when I arrived early for my lessons, I observed Dr. Elizabeth with children and talked to some of the students' parents. They all speak highly of her and are very happy with their children's musical development.

I am (also) a music teacher at UC Berkeley, and have seen all kinds of teachers throughout my career and I can confidently say that you can't go wrong with Dr. Elizabeth. I still continue my weekly lessons and am amazed how much I've developed as a violinist since we started working together.

Thank you Dr. Elizabeth, see you next week!

I would like to recommend Dr. Elizabeth as an excellent violin instructor. She has been teaching my son privately for a few months now and I have seen him progress steadily. Through a step-bystep process, she ensures her students are given a strong technical foundation from the very beginning. She is very clear with her instructions and pays attention to detail. She brings a lot of energy to the lesson and my son as enjoyed him lessons with her thoroughly.
