Hello! I'm happy to be considered as your future sewing teacher! A little bit about myself, I started sewing when I was around 8 years old with my grandmother and I've been passionate about it ever since! I've worked for many different sewing companies over the years, doing everything from hemming signs and banners to creating custom corsets. After getting frustrated by the lack of variety in commercial sewing patterns I went and got my degree in Apparel Pattern Design. One thing you'll learn as we get to know each other is that I love costuming of all kinds, particularly historical costuming! I strongly emphasize machine care and maintenance in my lessons. I've found that a great many of the problems people have when trying to learn to sew can be solved by properly operating and caring for their machines.
