Hello there! I am on summer break from my university teaching positions, and would love to work with you on learning some new skills this summer. During the semester, I have very limited availability -- so this is the time to take advantage of openings in my schedule. I am an adjunct professor of voice at two universities: Shenandoah University and Shepherd University, where I teach applied voice to undergraduate majors in performance, music education, and music therapy. My background is primarily in musical theatre and classical singing, but I work in all genres with my students, including pop, rock, country, folk, R&B, etc. I believe singing is for everyone. If you are willing to put in some work, we can absolutely improve your abilities. I love using evidence-based methods to help students find their own unique voice! I also teach speaking voice and piano. ***Teaching Philosophy*** As an instructor, my goal is to help each of my students discover the freest and most authentic version of their voice. Each student comes to me with a unique instrument as well as their own distinctive way of thinking, style of learning, and set of experiences; no two students are the same. Drawing on the fusion of voice science and traditional teaching methods, I work with each student to find the approach that works best for them to reach their goals. I believe teaching works best when students are relaxed, having fun, and are actively engaged in the learning process. It is also important that you practice what we work on during lessons at home if you wish to see real progress. I will work hard along with you and ask for your input during lessons; we are partners in the learning process. Whichever you choose to study (voice, piano, or both), I tailor lessons to suit each student's needs.

Elizabeth has been great with my daughter. She makes vocal lessons fun! Elizabeth is always very supportive and give kudos for her efforts which builds up my daughter's confidence. This is a great approach as it often opens up the child's desire to push themselves and solidifies that it is ok to make mistakes. We are very fortunate to have found Elizabeth.
