English (ESL) with Elizabeth A.

Hi! My name is Elizabeth. I have been working as a tutor for 10 years. After attaining my Bachelor's degree in Communication, I have taught English and writing to students of all ages. During the time that I was living in El Paso, I taught ESL students for 3 years. I started with the basics, and led a class on conversational English. Gradually, as my students advanced, I began teaching the grammatical aspect of English, allowing them to master an understanding of how to write and read in English. Since, moving from El Paso I have continued to teach ESL students online and instruct both conversational and written English. In total, I have been teaching English as a second language for 5 years. When beginning instruction, I start with a general assessment of proficiency by engaging in simple conversational English. Then I take time to truly understand what my students would like to achieve through the lessons and from there we work together on creating learning goals and a plan to attain them. All of my students have gone on to become confident and proficient English speakers and writers and I would be excited to work with you and help you achieve your goals!
