Shakespearean Acting with Eliza P.

Hello! My name is Eliza, and I'm an actor, singer, pianist, and composer. I'm a current student at Fordham University Lincoln Center, studying theatre performance and music. I teach beginning to intermediate piano students of all different ages, specializing in children! I've studied classical piano for 15 years, and contemporary keyboard for 5 of those. I can teach students to read music and pursue classical excellence, to learn how to play contemporary music using chord sheets, or both depending on the goals and preference of the student. I also cover improv and composition! I teach musical theatre singing to all ages, focusing on those who consider themselves actors or dancer first, and would like to increase their singing capacity! I focus on specific song and piece work, for audition prep and otherwise. Overall, I take a holistic approach to the craft in order to help actors navigate the world of musical theatre from where they are! I also teach classical stage acting to students of all levels. I have over a decade of experience with Shakespeare and his contemporaries in classical text, and it's my primary passion. I can't wait to explore the poetry with you and make Shakespeare as accessible as possible! My personal passions include Shakespeare, musical theatre playing and singing, romantic and classical piano, and composition. I believe that great technique is essential to any art.
