First of all, congratulations on having the courage and self-discipline to do what most others do not: learn a new language. The hard part is over! You've already begun the learning process and now all you need is someone to give you the guidance, support, and tools to help you along the way.
I hold my students to high standards, believing that setting consistent and high expectations is the key to success and improvement. I encourage students to reach these standards by providing honest feedback about their strengths and weaknesses, actively listening, and individualizing every lesson. Though I set high standards for students, I expect and even encourage them to make mistakes. Making mistakes is the best way to begin getting better and lets me know what areas we should work on together.
The eLearning Guild is the oldest and most trusted source of information, networking, and community for eLearning professionals. As a member-driven organization, the Guild produces conferences, online events, online and blended training courses, eBooks, white papers, research reports, and Learning Solutions Magazine—all devoted to the idea that the people who know the most about making eLearning successful are the people who produce eLearning every day in corporate, government, and academic settings. Our goal is to create a place where eLearning professionals can share their knowledge, expertise, and ideas to build a better industry—and better learning experiences—for everyone.
