Elise is a singer, pianist, dancer, and actor based in Los Angeles. Originally from Buffalo, Elise moved to New York City in 2012 to pursue her dreams in performing and found a passion for inspiring the next generation of artists. Beginning dance and piano lessons at age 5, Elise was constantly surrounded by music and art. She recently relocated to Los Angeles in October 2020 and has been teaching online and in-person since last fall! Elise made her international musical theater debut as Ermengarde in Hello Dolly with the Mittelsächsisches Theater in Freiberg, Germany. During the pandemic Elise took part in the “Socially Distanced Orchestra” as assistant choreographer and choir member. Elise was cast as a soloist and ensemble member in Leonard Bernstein’s Mass under the baton of the late Maestro Maurice Peress. She also performed with the Yonkers Philharmonic in the summer of 2018 under Tong Chen in a series of Pops and Classical Concerts. Elise holds her degree in Opera Vocal Performance with a focus in classical music studies and also a minor in theatre and dance productions. She is excited to share her love of opera, musical theater, classical and jazz music with students in the greater Los Angeles area!

There’s no shortage of vocal coaches in LA who will teach you how to sing. But what separates Elise is she personifies the word “coach” through her enthusiasm and heart. She seeks to connect with her students and from that foundation comes the encouragement and fun energy that is her trademark. It’s no wonder, our daughter, came home after her first lesson exclaiming “I love Elise, she is a ‘Hufflepuff’ like me!” - a statement in and of itself evidencing connection, engagement, and fun. We knew from then she was in good hands. Elise is a performer by passion and coach by extension and in a short period of time is shaping our daughter to see her art through the lens of a craft and self-expression. She gives her vocal exercises, songs she connects to, and kind-hearted encouragement. Our daughter not only has expressed she “can’t miss” a lesson but is also appreciative of how Elise challenges her to improve and it has resulted in her growing confidence and finding her joy through singing.
Elise is a great teacher. Our 11-year old daughter really loves learning from her and looks forward to her lessons. Elise is patient, a good communicator, instills the fundamentals and, most importantly, makes it fun! We highly recommend Elise if you’re looking for a piano teacher who can get you or your child excited about learning how to play!
