Singing with Elise T.

I grew up in a musical family in the mountains of Colorado, writing songs and performing in musical theater from a young age. In my early 20's I knew that the voice was directly linked to the health of my body and mind, so I became a certified Yoga teacher and later spent 10 years in India studying an ancient oral tradition of voice, directly linked to the Yoga of Sound. After years of rigorous practice, inquiring into the connection between body and voice, performing and teaching between India, Europe and the US, I sought further guidance from somatic practices, such as one developed by Patricia Bardi called Voice and Movement Integration. After completing her foundation program in 2018, I formed a vocal ensemble called 3 in Resonance, incorporating movement and visual art into performance. This project has since been supported by the Ministry of Culture in Nordrhein-Westfalen, Germany. To this day I continue to teach and learn. Like listening, learning is never finished!
