Elia F. is available for in-home, in-studio, and online lessons worldwide! Elia has been playing clarinet for over 15 years and teaching music since 2015. She enjoys working with students of all ages and experience levels from beginner to intermediate and advanced. Artists and genres that Elia has experience with range from Classical, Jazz, Contemporary, and more. Although trained in standard teaching methods, Elia developed her own method of teaching based off of her commitment to nurturing a love for music in each student. Elia aims to positively enhance the student's strength, dexterity, and techniques while building a lasting interest in music. Her goal as a teacher is specifically designed to help you achieve your goals as an artist and a musician. Elia attended New York University for her Bachelor of Music and McGill University for her Master of Music. She is constantly continuing her education with private clarinet instruction in New York City. She frequently attends woodwind workshops and seminars by artists/ensembles such as Ricardo Morales, Anton Rist, the Imani Winds, and the Fifth House Ensemble. Another nice feature that you might enjoy from one on one sessions with Elia is learning the how to handle auditions and performance anxiety. Elia can give you the resources to perform at your best! Lessons are scheduled to best fit to the student's schedule when possible. Students receive complimentary materials, such as scores and exercise books, upon their first or second session. Elia is a very patient instructor and understands that students learn at a different pace, after all everyone is an individual!

Only instructor you'll ever need! I've taken lessons with Elia both online and in person since spring 2023, and she always has created a welcoming environment that's perfectly conducive to learning and progressing (no judgement, only advancement!). She's incredibly knowledgeable about the instrument and isn't shy about giving tips and tricks that have helped her in the past. She's beyond kind, and very accommodating. I'm an adult learner who is balancing lessons with a work schedule and Elia is continuously flexible on scheduling, as needed. I appreciate that Elia is very tuned into where each student seems to be in their journey, as well as their reasons for wanting to learn. I started from scratch and hope to be a casual, but proficient player. I also feel that I've progressed far quicker than I ever would've expected thanks to her great instruction. Elia has also assisted me in identifying a better clarinet for purchase, and recommends reeds, ligatures, etc. to provide as good a playing experience as I am willing to pay for. She also was careful to take into account my budget as well and didn't recommend anything grossly over. Overall: 15/10 instructor. Would highly recommend!
