ELENA CORREIA SOPRANO BIOGRAPHY West Palm Beach based soprano ELENA CORREIA received her Master of Music from The Juilliard School and her Bachelor of Music from San Diego State University. Her performances include the Palm Beach Opera, Corpus Christi Symphony, Aspen Opera Theater Center, Juilliard Opera Theater, San Diego State Opera Theater, Sarasota Opera, San Diego Chamber Orchestra and Cobb Symphony Orchestra. Among her numerous awards are First Place Winner of Classical Productions Award in Weill Recital Hall, Carnegie Hall, First prizes in the prestigious Graz (Austria) Meistersinger Competition, the NATS Competition and the San Diego District of the Metropolitan Opera Competition. Along with her vocal career, Ms. Correia has an extraordinary passion for teaching and ear for sound. She was fortunate to study with phenomenal voice teachers and coaches who helped her accomplish her goal of bringing these vocal techniques to South Florida. Her knowledge and unique teaching style make her equally adept at working with singers who want a career in music or simply want to sing for pure enjoyment. Whatever goals her students have set, big or small, Ms. Correia’s fun, focused, and inspired approach helps them to achieve success. In addition to teaching privately, Ms. Correia has also enjoyed numerous group coaching experiences and music direction. She was the vocal coach for the North Broward Preparatory School’s production of Side Show, J.P.T production of Ragtime, Saint Andrews School productions of Joseph and the Technicolor Coat, The Drowsy Chaperone, Mary Poppins, Annie, You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown, Grease, and The Lion King. Ms. Correia was the Music Director for North Broward Preparatory School’s production of 9-5 that performed at All State Conference at Morsani Hall. In 2018, she was the Music Director for Bring It On and now this year is the Music Director for City of Angels.
