I'm a native New Yorker, and I'm thrilled to return home after getting my DMA (Vocal Pedagogy and Performance) in Miami. I have taught voice for over ten years, and it's my favorite thing to do - so much so, in fact, that for three years I commuted from Boston to NY twice a month just to see my students! If we work together, you’ll have my utmost dedication to your progress and process. Lessons with me are lively, positive and student-centered; rather than "me teaching you", the process is collaborative. I believe that building self-awareness is paramount. Rather than a lesson consisting of only my instructions, you'll be expected to give own feedback regarding what you're learning. Encouraging such self-reliance not only boosts confidence and musicianship, but also enables her to trust what you know rather than just "do as the teacher says". Just as each personality is individual, every artist is unique. Let's find out what your voice brings to the table! I’ve served on the faculty of the Franklin School of Performing Arts and the Miami Conservatory of Music, and I’ve taught both classroom and applied voice for the University of Miami’s Frost School of Music. I have completed all three levels of Shenandoah Universtiy’s CCM Vocal Pedagogy Institute, which enables me to teach contemporary styles as well as classical and musical theatre. My studio is currently open for lessons in both New York, NY and Long Island, NY. Interested? Let’s talk - I can't wait to hear how I can best help you.
