    History has always been my passion. After studying history in college, I dove headfirst into teaching middle school. In my first year as a teacher, 100% of my students passed their state exam in history! In the following years, I eventually became the department chair and teaching coach for others in my school, and designed curriculum and wrote assessments that were used by several other teachers. After teaching for several years at a high-performing charter school, my students were consistently the highest scorers in our network for many years in a row. After working with thousands of students, I am excited to craft unique lessons for my students and have seen incredible growth amongst students who initially claim "they just don't like" history or that history is "just not for them." I can't wait to get started!
