Singing with Edward G.

I am a professional singer and accompanist, having appeared in musicals such as 'Wicked', 'The Book of Mormon', 'Legally Blonde' & 'Spring Awakening'. I have a BFA from the prestigious West Australia Academy of Performing Arts (yes - that's also where Hugh Jackman went ;-). Oh - and I'm Australian so you get a bonus accent with your lessons! I LOVE to teach. Don't get me wrong - I love to perform, too. But in the decade I've been teaching I've worked with young children all the way up to principal actors in major musicals and have found great joy in helping people at whatever stage they're at. My technique is an amalgamation of several schools of thought that focuses on a supported, relaxed and connected sound. I often employ techniques from the Estille method. I feel comfortable teaching across a broad range of styles, of course, but I believe in a solid foundation that will serve you well across ALL styles to be integral. We all want to be able to sing like Freddy Mercury one day and Audra McDonald the next! I look forward to meeting you!
