Born and raised in Palm Beach County, Florida, I started playing the piano at the age of 9. Throughout my childhood, I took part in a wide variety of performance and competitive opportunities including but not limited to being featured on WXEL radio. My journey took me to Alexander W. Dreyfoos School of the Arts where my passion or music blossomed and created even more opportunities in music eventually leading me to win the Florida Atlantic University Dorothy F Schmidt College of Arts and Letters Concerto and Aria Competition.
I currently hold a Bachelors of Music in Piano from Florida Atlantic University under the tutelage of Dr. Edward Turgeon of the Duo Turgeon. While studying Piano Performance at FAU, I also had the opportunity to study Graduate Piano Pedagogy under Judith Burganger. I have been teaching music on and off for the last 10 years while working and attending school full time.
Music has a way of reaching us all and helping us become more sensitive, compassionate, creative people. The study of music has been linked to better test scores, more creative minds, and increased critical thinking abilities. For adults returning to music or picking it up for the first time it can be a rewarding hobby, a hidden passion or desire, or a change of schedule.
Music can be for anyone!
Ednelle is a colleague, friend and former teacher. While pursuing my Music Education Degree, Ednelle helped me continue my piano studies, working with me on technique, expression and sight reading overall increasing my ability and knowledge at the piano. She is a patient teacher, but expects her students to come to lessons prepared and ready to work and does so with a smile and a kind, but firm demeanor. As a teacher she is knowledgeable and flexible in her teaching techniques and is always looking for a way to break through to her students. As a pianist and performer herself, she can play a variety of repertoire from classical to jazz to pop music and has the experience and knowledge necessary to help students learn to be confident, effective performers. I can’t recommend her more.+ Read More
