- Levels Taught:
- Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced
We start off with the basics, putting the stitches on the needle and the knit stitch.
The first thing is to get comfortable with the knitting process. When my students are feeling comfortable we learn the purl stitch (there are only 2 basic stitches in knittings and how you combine them makes up wall stitch patterns). Our first project will be a scarf.
After the basics are learned and my studets feel confident we move on to a more changling project and the possibilties are endless.

I am a patient, encouraging teacher and think we should always have fun when we are learning. I Love to Knit! it's safe to say I'm a knitaholic! I have been knitting for a long as I can remember. and teaching for about 20 years. I work at a Knitting Store part time (The Little Knittery in Los Feliz, Ca) and teach students to knit every Sunday. I also teach 8-10 yr olds to knit at A Place to Create in Atwater Village, Ca every Sat afternoon. I also have several ongoing students I give private lessons to weekly. I pretty much knit every day and Design and sell my pattern on Ravelry and at The Little Knittery. I have had my pattens published in all of the knitting magazines and have been a part of several books.
I enjoy sharing my Love of knitting with my students and it gives me so much satisfaction and pleasure to do so.
I teach knitting every Sunday at The Little Knittery and work there 4 days a week so I am always available to help our customers.
I reacquainted myself with knitting a little over 1 1/2 years ago after being away from it for over 30 years. Edna is employed at the shop near my house and has been a continuous source of support, encouragement and inspiration when the frustration level reaches maximum due to choosing projects that are just outside of my comfort zone. (I do like s challenge) She is always kind and patient when it comes to either fixing my mistakes or showing me what I did incorrectly and explaining how to avoid making the same errors in the upcoming rows. I don't think I would still be knitting if it weren't for Edna!+ Read More
I love learning knitting from Edna. She's a master knitter and an inspiration.
She is a patient teacher with an expert eye. She has corrected so many of my mistakes without judgement; just helpful instruction and friendly advice. I'm so happy to have found her!
